I wanted to write up a quick review and thank all staff for the amazing work they do and hopefully assist other parents in their decision of Childcare. Verbally I am always saying the wrong thing so I hope that even as impersonal as a review can be, I can appropriately express my gratitude to the BFM Team. Firstly, I want to express gratitude regarding the exceptional work in the current climate, in such uncertain times BFM have acted quickly, professionally, and compassionately, this is no easy task but one that is greatly appreciated. My Daughter, Kiara has been a part of the BFM family for roughly 3 years and despite her Sassy ways her educators have always put in so much love and I truly believe Kiara's compassion is a true reflection of the Teams work, my daughter is a handful but BFM has been a huge blessing in our lives and I cannot wait to see her continued growth over her next few years. Montessori has not only been an amazing fit for Kiara but already an amazing gift in the development of her future. My Son started his BFM journey at 4 months old, so for just over 4 and 1/2 years BFM was a part of his life (and still is) in that time Nate made lasting friendships, crawled, walked and said his first words, all the milestones that a Mother cherishes for life, you all shaped and encouraged, there are no words to express the gratitude for this. More recently Nate was diagnosed Autistic (level 2) as the course of this diagnosis we were engaged with a Clinical Psychologist, now this may seem irrelevant however the background taken during these assessments are quite extensive, not only did I provide the statements so kindly written and provided by Montessori but the Psychologist looked into Montessori's Philosophy, as such from a professionals view, I would like to share with you all a written statement in Nathaniel's diagnostic report. "Nathaniel displayed Moderate to High levels of functioning across the diagnostic testing, this has not been present at such displayed levels previously due to the structure, routine and delivery of education provided by Building Futures Montessori" I hope this statement is validation that the work BFM does not only makes a difference to Parents and children but is also recognized by Health Care professionals as beneficial to the development of children and in this case, children with a disability. From my perspective, a few staff know my story such as Maddy, Heather and Yas, they know somewhat of my own mental and physical health concerns and quite frankly horrible 2020, but despite this, I have been made to feel welcome every day 5 days a week, offers of assistance, kindness, understanding and compassion have not only made a life of difference to my children which I could never truly express how grateful I am for, but all of this has also made the difference in my own life, not only professionally but personally, the kindness shown by staff on those hard days, the lack of judgement when I’m on Parental struggle street, the encouragement when my hands have been thrown up in the air in defeat but, and importantly, the love I was shown when I lost my brother early this year, it takes very special people to grow such impressionable little hearts and minds but I think it is very important to know that you have all have touched my heart also and when I needed it most. I hope this goes a little way in expressing just how valued Montessori is in my little families lives and can bring just one smile like the many you have given us. From one very grateful Mum.
A wonderful centre that has a 'home away from home' feel. The staff are very kind and nurturing, and deliver high quality Montessori educational programs. Our child is thriving at the centre and we are delighted to be part of the Building Futures Montessori community.
Building Futures Montessori have played an integral part in both of our children's early childhood development. It is so much more than a childcare centre, it is a family and we are so lucky to be apart of that.
I have had two children attend this centre from age 2.5 and plan on sending my third child also. One visit to this centre and it will give you a “gut feeling” that your kids will be safe and lovingly cared for here. Staff are friendly, good-humoured, gentle, dedicated to the Montessori educational ethos, always open to feedback and communicate transparently with parents. The centre has a lovely homely/backyard feel with real grass, veggie patches, native bees, guinea pigs, and chooks running around. Overall, it’s been a wonderful community for our kids to be a part of.
I don't know how to thank these wonderful teachers and officers. They are so supportive, kind and helpful.
My girls have been going to BFM Blackstone now for 2 years, and as a parent, I find all of the staff to be so responsive, helpful and understanding. Never do I feel like my concerns fall on deaf ears and I am always kept up to date with how my children are progressing and what they may need assistance with. I am so grateful to have found a beautiful centre like this and My girls will continue to be here until they reach Prep. If you are looking for a great day care facility, I honestly could not speak higher of this centre.
This centre is very professionally run and our childs language, development and social skills have been thriving since she began attending at age one.
I have twins who attended Building Futures from 4 months old until they left for prep! The twins learnt all of the things they needed to confidently start school. The staff were amazing! They cared for my children as if they were their own. I always felt comfortable leaving them at the centre.
Such a big fan of this centre! They are super organised, child centric and have a lovely team. Trista, Amy, Tracey, Missy are excellent educators and administrators (to name a few). I've had a positive experience here and we've been at a few child care centres thanks to relocating, the other centres pale in comparison! Worth the wait if you're waitlisted like we were. Montessori style is wonderful for independence as well.
The office staff are so lovely to deal with, along with all the educators. Such a welcoming environment 💚
My child has attended the service since she was 20 months, she is now about to turn 5 in the kindy program and have had nothing but positive experiences. The educators are always more then happy to help with any extra needs my child requires and am glad we chose building futures for her care 🙂
We’ve had a really great experience at Building Futures Montessori Wavell Heights. Our child settled in way quicker than we expected, which honestly says a lot about the educators there. They’ve got that calm, “we’ve got this” energy that makes drop-offs feel easy (most mornings anyway 😅). What we love is how hands-on and independent the kids are encouraged to be. It’s not just colouring in and painting, they’re actually doing things, learning real skills, and coming home wanting to show you how to pour water or zip their bag up “by themselves”. The staff are approachable, down to earth, and genuinely know the kids. You don’t feel like just another family coming through the door, which makes a big difference. It’s got a really nice community feel too, not over the top, just warm and steady. We’re really happy we landed here. Would definitely recommend it to any parent looking for a Montessori space that feels calm, real, and supportive.
My second child is about to finish his care with BFM and we are very sad to say goodbye to this incredible community of staff and families. Our children have experienced first class education and care with the BFM team here and both of my son's have loved their experiences at the centre. The staff have become a well loved part of our family over the last 4 and a half years having cared for my youngest child from the nursery through to now prep age, and my eldest from 2 years through to school as well. My eldest son left with so much confidence and strong foundations moving into the school system and I can already see that my second son is set to do the same. The philosophy of Montessori was the absolute best start we could have given our children and were even taught by the centre how to implement some practices into our home environment. I cannot recommend this centre and the staff enough. Thank you for all you have done for my children.
Great educators, great activities and experiences. They are cared for, fed well and are learning! What more could you want for your kids?
This centre is so beautiful and welcoming. The receptionist always greets me with a smile.
We've been with Building futures Montessori Blackstone since 2015/2016 and they are just outstanding. Such amazing staff, great initiatives, a very welcoming community and I could not fault the care they've given my children over the years - I look forward to the years to come. My 7yo still remembers his time with building futures with great fondness, they definitely helped in creating the confident caring little boy he is today. I couldn't have found a better centre or community to help care for my children.
My son has been attending the centre just over 1 year now. From the moment I first enquired to then meeting the educators that would look after him I signed up then and there on the spot. The educators helped my son transition from full care with me at 6 months to learning to be with other safe adults and children. They helped transition him into the cot for day naps which was amazing, especially being a purely breastfed baby feeding to sleep every nap with me. My son has grown up so much and they have helped him in this journey as I work full time. With every daycare comes sickness and accidents and they’re dealt with in the highest regard for the children’s safety. I highly recommend this daycare to anyone wanting to put their child in care. It’s a safe environment and overall has a great vibe from the educators, to the building and the fellow kids.
My daughter attended this centre for 4 years and loved it. As a new parent finding the right centre is so nerve-racking and one of the most crucial decisions you need to make. It was so nice for me going to work knowing my daughter was happy, healthy and the educators were treating her as their own. Children spend so much time in care and it was great knowing she is getting the best start to life with this place. The Montessori philosophy and the educators here taught her so much from how to confidently be part of a community to having independence skills beyond her "level". She has now started primary school and she is such a confident, independent individual thanks to these dedicated staff. Thank you all so much, you are all appreciated beyond words. I recommend this centre to everyone, Montessori is not for everyone but it was definitely the best choice for my family and my daughter.
The team are amazing and so supportive. Wouldn't send my children anywhere else. Can't praise the team highly enough for the work they do!
The staff and admin team do their best to cater for the needs of each family and child in their care, forming relationships with the children and their families. The children have a natural curiosity about the world around them. The Montessori way of learning supports their love of learning.
Loving and Caring Educators. My child have been going here since 2020 and he loves to come everyday. He has learned a lot and became so independent. We love that they respect multiculturalism and even celebrates. Management is also very nice and understanding.
We are extremely happy with BFM Wavell Heights and would highly recommend. Our daughter has absolutely flourished since starting in the nursery room in 2021. Our daughter loves her educators who go above and beyond in providing a beautiful space and presence for child-centred learning and development via the Montessori philosophy. The Centre's provided meals are cooked fresh (often filling the centre with a delicious smell in the morning) and provide a variety of fresh vegetables and fruits and protein sources which helps support nutrition across the day. The Centre staff are friendly and warm and very open to feedback and openly seek input from families re: quality improvement. Thank you for all that you have done for our daughter.
Lovely staff members with good cares. Nice and kind vibe.
As soon as you walk through those doors at BFM forest lake you are greeted by the warmest kindest lady, you can sense Tracey's passion instantly. My son attended this centre at the age of 3 he was very relaiant on me within a very short time. Carson was very independent. Carson had stomach issues and wasn't toilet trained and the care Nadine, Glenda, (Gee Gee) Jess and Bella gave my boy was amazing and nurturing anything I asked of them they delivered. I'll be forever grateful! Thank you sooooo much
